So just over a month ago, i met a new friend through an old friend. We'll call him... Michigan... since he was visiting from there anyway. Well, Michigan quickly found out that i knit (which was not difficult bc i was knitting when i met him) and, as everyone else does, asked me to make him something. Unlike what everyone else does, he asked me to make him something ridiculous. It was a very specific (but initially joking) request for "sleeves" for his glasses. After staring at him for about 20 minutes... and officially creeping him out... i went home to promptly make some for him. this is what i came up with:

i was actually hoping they'd have more pink in them just to make the already absurd accessory additionally amusing. mais hélàs, green and purple it is. Michigan loved them... so much so that he asked for more to "match his outfits." but i cut him off at one pair. enough is enough.
i think the best part of all that was that my dad, very un-jokingly, asked for a pair for his sunglasses so they would stop poking his ears. i have yet to do this. oh well... i guess we could say we both forgot.
